Why I Won't Eat My Dog | Oscar Tusa | TEDxYouth@ASD

Oscar promotes and explores the ideals of vegetarianism through initially presenting, in all its absurdity, the scenario of eating his own dog. Using his personal experiences transforming his diet, as well as empirical studies and statistics exploring the positive impacts of vegetarian/veganism, Oscar passionately describes how this new lifestyle could be an interesting choice. Oscar Tusa has lived in Dubai for ten years. Prior to this he has lived in Tokyo and London. Oscar loves olympic weightlifting and playing the drums. He has been vegan/vegetarian for a year and has never knowingly eaten a dog. In his talk, he will explain why he became vegan, and why he believes this choice addresses many of the ethical and environmental challenges inherent in eating animal-based diets. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
