Fathers are more involved than ever. What next? | Eric Olofson | TEDxWabashCollege

Father's have always played a role in their children's lives; however, the modern father is much more involved. Professor Eric Olofson takes us on a journey of how the role of the father has changed, in the 21st century, and the impact it is having on our next generation of dads. Eric Olofson became an Associate Professor of Psychology at Wabash College after earning his BA in Psychology and Philosophy from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and his MS and PhD from the University of Oregon. After beginning his career studying the development of social cognition and language, he has followed his students’ interest in being involved fathers and now investigates fathers’ role in child development. When he isn’t spending time outdoors with his wife and two daughters, he can be found roasting coffee and studying Mandarin. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
