Blaze Your Own Trail | Justin Clouden & Timmy Jackson | TEDxYouth@AEL

Justin Clouden and Timmy Jackson go through the steps of what led to their ultimate dream of owning a restaurant together. Justin is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied Management & Global Analysis. After graduation, he became an elementary science and social studies teacher in Dallas, TX as a member of Teach for America. He then moved to Buenos Aires where he spent several years as a management consultant, focusing on growth strategy for Fortune 500 companies across a variety of industries. Favorite thing about owning a restaurant? The look on an Argentine's face when they have the near-religious experience of trying a deep fried oreo for the first time. Timmy is a graduate of the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina where he studied Management and Entrepreneurship. He was the founding partner and LATAM Directer of Operations for a tech start-up, where he was in charge of formulating strategies to penetrate emerging markets while managing sales teams and affiliate relationships across four countries. He continued his passion for directing events (& connecting people) by launching the first Buenos Aires Networking Group & has been one of the central organizers for two Festival Union de Los Pibes Festival and the first Palermo Beer Festival. Outside of work, he continues to follow his dream of becoming a hip-hop household name with freestyle acts and collaborations with local artists performing at venues such as Niceto Club and The Roxy. Favorite thing about owning a restaurant? Watching someone gather up the courage to take down our Blazin' wings. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
