As a journalist Khulan has been working with news throughout her career. Emphasizing the dangers that fake news can bring, she shares tips on identifying them and preventing spread of unnecessary information. Khulan has worked as a journalist in a daily newspaper when she was a student. Later she was on reporting teams from the Reuters, BBC and other international media organizations. When Khulan was teaching at the University of Humanities of Mongolia, she was deeply interested in digital journalism. After completing her Masters degree in Digital Media at the University of London, she started working as the Editor-in-Chief of the Eagle News TV where she put more emphasis on violance, human rights, citizen participation issues. Now she works as the Executive Producer of the NTV, Mongolia. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
