Reimagine Chicago: Power to the People | Kevin Felisme | TEDxDePaulUniversity

With a passion for Chicago and an appreciation for what we can learn from the past, Kevin Felisme sees a path for creating economic opportunities to benefit the communities around us. He shares his vision for his city in his talk: “Reimagine Chicago: Power to the People.” Felisme works at Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, a therapeutic residential facility for youth in Chicago. He is an advocate for economic development in low-income communities and youth development. His goal is to open up a successful business on the South Side one day that can serve as an economic engine for the community. Felisme graduated from American University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in justice and law, and is pursuing his MBA at DePaul. In his free time, he volunteers at The Port Ministries, a community center that offers free services and resources for Chicago’s South Side residents.
