David Nasser talks about how the unique mindset of an immigrant can be an asset in matters of persuasion and perseverance. In 1979, David escaped Iran in the midst a bloody revolution in which tens of thousands were killed. After a wearisome season in exile, David and his family were granted political asylum in the United States. As a nine year old immigrant, David stepped into a new world filled with promise and opportunity. As a sought after speaker, author, pastor, consultant and higher education leader, David believes that his immigrant mindset has made him âbetter instead of bitterâ. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
