Fire & Snow: An Unlikely Electricity Source | Neeti Prasad | TEDxYouth@Dayton

After experiencing the inconvenience and challenge of power outages while traveling to India, Neeti Prasad began researching ways to generate energy with common resources, such as hot water. After coming across the idea of thermoelectric generators, or TEGs, Neeti began her own journey of invention to create a system that could possibly power the world. Neeti Prasad is a freshman at Dayton Regional STEM School who loves doing science experiments and robotics as much as rowing and dancing. She is very passionate about educating kids and her early teaching experience dates back to when she was 10 years old and her two students were between the ages of three-six! She is also a 2017 Broadcom MASTERS Semifinalist (Top 300) for her innovative science fair project: "Harvesting Solar Energy and Body Heat Using Thermoelectric Generators." This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
