Reclaiming the 3R's: A New Direction to Salvage Sustainability | Taylor Bridges | TEDxDicksonStreet

The 3R’s - Reduce / Reuse /Recycle: most of us can state them, but do we truly live them (in that order) in our everyday lives? Recycling is not enough. Respecting the order of this renowned phrase has the power to salvage the failing sustainability of today's culture. Taylor is currently a senior at the University of Arkansas working on a Bachelor’s of Psychology with a minor in Sustainability. At first, she was double majoring in Spanish and Psychology in hopes to teach those subjects. Half-way through her Spanish degree, she realized that there is a fire burning inside of her for the protection of our environment. So, she decided to drop her Spanish degree and take on a minor in sustainability. Taylor aspires to inspire the world around her to take better care of this beautiful place we call home. We have a lot at stake and Taylor truly believes that through educational awareness, we can turn this ship around! Taylor’s plan is to put forth all of her energy to create a genuinely sustainable culture and future. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
