The “From Dodge to Diaspora†talk will delve into the academic, professional and historical experiences of a rural, native son whose belief in the value of the lived experience, cultural representation and visionary teaching took him on a transatlantic journey of personal discovery and professional enrichment. Williams will detail critical points of his travel, as well as his constant attempt to bridge the disconnect between the often marginalized voices and the diasporic communities to which they belong.
