The Emerging Space Economy | Justin Park | TEDxSuffolkUniversity

NASA consultant and Intergalactic Education co-founder Justin Park sees a burgeoning space market on the cusp of a revolution. Park gives a throwback to John F. Kennedy and discusses current and future celestial commerce. Justin Park, an International Space University and University of Iowa alumni, strives to show students how they can grow up and someday work in the space industry. Mr. Park currently serves as the President of Intergalactic Education, a software company dedicated to promoting STEM education and raising algebra test scores. Park self-published his first novel, Pushing the Envelope, in 2006 and two years later was awarded the Yuri Gagarin Medal of Cosmonautics in Moscow, Russia for his contributions to the field of electromagnetic propulsion. He sees space as the answer to solving world peace. “Everything we hold of value on Earth â€" resources, real-estate, and technology â€" can be found in infinite supplies in space.” This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
