A survivor of and advocate for rape and sexual assault, Amelia has taken the pain from some of her darkest times and used it to catalyse a conversation about the importance of practicing empathy and understanding consent. Amelia strikes the perfect balance between humour and wisdom as she speaks to the potential â€" much like internet memes â€" that consent and empathy have to go viral if we all make the decision to educate ourselves on the ins and outs of these ideas ‘before the crimes are even committed’. Amelia has been involved in both film, theatre as well as her own written/devised performance throughout high school and into her young adult life. Amelia had the opportunity to study in Los Angeles on a scholarship with the Hollywood Immersive program in 2011. Amelia is currently studying at 16th St Actors Studio in Melbourne.
