Clapham Changes the World | David Souden | TEDxClapham

Two centuries ago the people of Clapham ran a long and sustained moral campaign that ended with the slave read and the slavery itself being abolished. The techniques they used were recognisably modern, and they have shaped our world. Dr David Souden has been many things, but they all have the relevance of the past for today at their heart. He now runs Past Present, a consultancy in heritage, impact media and learning. Until recently, he was at Historic Royal Palaces as Head of Access & Learning, and before that he was an independent author, an independent television and radio producer, and always a historian. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
