Sing, Dance and smile | Jackie Richards | TEDxTottenham

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Jackie believes that as part of a vibrant local community opportunities for people to take part in arts activities is key. In her talk She implores us to Sing, Dance and smile to create greater community cohesion. Jackie has worked as an adult education tutor teaching dance as well as a senior manager for City & Guilds where she lead a team developing vocational qualifications for the Health, Social Care and Community sectors. She has started many initiatives and during her retirement formed the Tottenham Community Choir and later founded Creative Dance 60+ based at the Bernie Grant Centre, a grassroots dance organisation for active older people. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
