From Burning a School to Changing the World | Desmond Choi | TEDxRougeRiver

How do firecrackers and Pokemon cards lead towards making our world a better place? In his TEDxTalk, Desmond Choi explores the intersections of compassion and innovation in building a better future. Desmond is a serial entrepreneur and social activist and currently studying sociology at the University of Waterloo. Desmond started his first business in Grade 4. He is the CEO of SparkGig, a social venture to empower performers around the world, and the founder of United International Entrepreneurs Group, non-profit organization aimed to raise awareness about the social impact of everyday business decisions in Zimbabwe, Canada, United Kingdom and Hong Kong. In the last 10 years, he had started many companies with a variety of fields, such as clothing industry, mobile app development to Web-based companies. He is the President of Kairos Society Canada, member of Clinton Global Initiative University and a member at Salvation Army.
