Dissecting the Frog | Tim Ferrell | TEDxYouth@CEHS

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. What do Jon Stewart, Chris Rock and Ray Romano have in common with a small group of Cape Elizabeth High School students? The answer: their Improv teacher, award-winning comedy writer, director, and coach Tim Ferrell. Here he describes the rewarding process of coaching a small group of budding teenage comedians into a thriving, independent high school tour de force. Award winning comedy writer/director Tim Ferrell has written and produced programs for Nickelodeon & HBO’s Comedy Central. With over 25 years experience writing, directing and performing comedy, Ferrell has taught workshops on stand-up and improvisational comedy across the country. Former students include Jon Stewart, Ray Romano and Chris Rock. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
