Religion 2.0 | Hari Ravi Kumar | TEDxJUIT

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Hari talks about exploring various dimensions of "religion", what does it means, how should we rationally observe and experience its objectivity. He focuses on redefining the term to achieve more inclusiveness to the idea of religion. A co-author of the New Bhagavad-Gita who has also co-written three other books and several articles deeply imbibes the knowledge about the Indian scriptures and has been inspired by them since ever.At various points in life, he has worked as a software programmer, music teacher, copy editor, product strategist, graphic designer, translator and event manager. He is one of those few people who take their hobby seriously and hence spends most of his free time playing the violin or writing short stories. He who considers himself as a student of drawing, Aikido, photography and theatre, loves travelling and often uses it as an excuse to learn a new language or read up about another culture. It is something that became a life long habit after he became a Melton Fellow in 2003. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
