Changing the Question from What's Wrong w/ You? to What Happened to You? | Jamie Meyer | TEDxUSF

Our world is full of tension and divisiveness and we need to reach out to one another with a new approach. When we ask the question "what happened to you?" instead of "what's wrong with you," we dig deeper and begin to understand the why (history/reasons) behind the what (attitude/behavior) which breaks down barriers and builds bridges of understanding with one another. Changing the question will, no doubt, have a transformative effect on our community and the world! Jamie Meyer is a dynamic and inspirational leader and speaker. She serves as Senior Director of Education at Metropolitan Ministries, where 100 homeless families reside and participate in innovative and life-changing programs. Jamie is passionate about motivating other leaders to find a new perspective in their own life's work and has presented interactive workshops and trainings throughout the U.S. in the area of trauma and compassion fatigue/burnout. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
