From growing up in Nairobi, Kenya to her educational experiences across the world, Melisa Peresian Letayian reflects on her changing definition of privilege. Melisa is a sophomore here at Macalester. Melisa is an international student from Nairobi Kenya with a keen interest in community and global health. Melisa is also a rising activist eager to learn how to be of use to the changing perception of Africa.
