Quite simply, Alexa Trujillo shares her story because she doesn’t want other young women to hate themselves, or think they’re any less capable, because they don’t “look†a certain way. Alexa is a Senior Communications Specialist at Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory where I support the Office of the CMO in driving and executing marketing and communications initiatives. Prior to joining Deloitte, I attended the University of Southern California and graduated with Honors in Business Administration and a Global Scholar distinction. I dedicated my time in college to the prosperity, opportunity, and growth of young women at USC and in the neighboring Los Angeles community. I am the USC chapter founder of I AM THAT GIRL, a non-profit organization aimed at empowering girls to love, be, and express who they are. Additional highlights from college include speaking at TEDxTrousdale, performing as a USC Song Girl, mentoring young women in WYSE, studying abroad in Budapest, and joining a sorority. I am originally from Dallas, Texas This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
