Ignorance Is SO Not Bliss | Georgia Smith | TEDxYouth@PaduaCollege

A self-admitted 'big-word enthusiast' with a love for all things information, Georgia Smith combats the misconstrued stereotype of what it means to be educated in the 21st century. With an array of impressive vocabulary and a passion for redefining the notion of knowledge through stimulating discussion, Georgia speaks on her ideal for the face of tomorrow: a 'scientifically, politically, globally and socially literate society'. Georgia is a past Paduan who seems to find any excuse she can to come back and chat. Now a second year Medical Student at Monash University, Georgia is a big-word enthusiast and over-empathiser who requires daily doses of watercolour and sunshine dappling to balance out her regular cadaver explorations. Georgia is incredibly excited to be part of this awesome event and can’t wait to discuss the dangers of ignorance and value of information aficionados in ‘the face of tomorrow’. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
