Performance | Flag Dance | TEDxLPCUWC

Flag Dance is an after school activity at Li Po Chun United World College that seeks to promote Chinese culture. The sequence here is performed by Katrina Yu('17) and Natalie Kwan('18). Flag dance is a traditional Chinese dance which is closely linked to the world-famous fan dance. Moved in perfect synchronization to the music, the flags seem hypnotizing to the audience. The flag dance performers from Li Po Chun are members of the extracurricular activity “Lion Dance” who want to dive deeper into Chinese culture and discover a new way of creative expression. The flag dance team had their first performance at the Chinese Cultural Evening in February 2017. Based on the positive and amazed reactions of the audience, TEDxLPCUWC will give them the stage to share traditional Chinese culture in a modern context. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
