"Creating a Happy Family" | Davaadorj B. | TEDxBaruunUrt

As an employee at the Barrun-Urt Youth Center, B. Davaadorj understands the immense difficulty inherent in starting and maintaining a strong family. In this enlightening and inspiring presentation, B. Davaadorj uses different cases from his work to construct a simple program for family stability. Focusing on both adults and children, B. Davaadorj makes the case that family is something that is critical not just to the health of individuals, but to the health of Mongolia. Having grown up with a steady stream of love and support from his mother, Mr. B. Davaadorj considers himself to be very fortunate. Although there is an ever increasing population of youth in Baruun-Urt, many of the young boys and girls in this city are forced to cope with the absence of encouragement and guidance. In order to help less fortunate youth have the opportunity to experience the care and assistance necessary to becoming productive members of society, Mr. B. Davaadorj works as one of the lead counselors at the Baruun-Urt Youth Center. Whether providing academic support, health classes or emotional therapy, Mr. B. Davaadorj works to treat Baruun-Urt's youth like the future that they are. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
