In spoken word, along with an accompanying film, the artists speak for other creatives working without gallery representation within the homogenous London art scene. They discuss ways of living alternatively, existing and working differently, within the urban landscape of modern London. TEDxCourtauldInstitute invited Samuel Levack and Jennifer Lewandowski to join the Artists in Residence programme for 2015. Levack and Lewandowski are based at French Riviera, Bethnal Green, a contemporary art gallery which is also their former house. Their long standing collaboration has seen them create site-specific installations and video art which explore ideas of place, space and identity. http://www.levacklewandowski.com/ This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
